Finally justice is served, Joe McKnight former USC running back and NFL running shooter Ronald Gasser was charged today with 2nd degree murder. On December 1st Ronald Gasser shot and killed McKnight during a road rage incident. When I heard about McKnight being killed I was heartbroken like the rest of you. McKnight who was amazing at USC ran for over 2,000 career yards and 66 touchdowns, becoming one of USCs best running backs ever. McKnights NFL career wasn’t as good, only playing four years which is typical for running backs today, but thats not the point. The point is that Justice was served, I’m glad to see that Gasser wasn’t let of the hook, originally he was let off without any charges. There are many things that was going through my head when that happened. Gasser was a white male and to some people McKnight a gangbanger, thug, criminal. I don’t believe this was hate crime or anything like that, but it was a delusion man who let his emotions get in the way and shoot and kill such a great person in McKnight. Because in the end it isn’t about what you do on the field but what you do off the field.
If Ronald Gasser is convicted, which he will be, will possibly face life in prison and no parole sources tell me. That is fine with me and I’m sure with you as well. Ronald Gasser is to dangerous to be kept on the streets. Joe McKnight was a respected man in the community and from fellow NFL players and coaches. RIP McKnight, gone but not forgotten.
